MHH: Tell us briefly about your career thus far!
Jennifer: My career started as an extra credit project, where I discovered the exciting world of advertising after touring a local L.A. agency. This lead me to pursue a career in Account Management, specifically with the hope of making a positive impact on my workplace as a servant leader with a willingness to go above and beyond the call of duty.
MHH: In your most recent role, what was a valuable lesson you learned that you’ll take with you into your next role?
Jennifer: Prioritize the cultivation of authentic relationships with my colleagues, moving beyond the conventional process and project discussions. Doing this in the future will foster collaboration in an organic way, allowing an elevated sense of teamwork that will help navigate unexpected problems that may come up throughout the course of a project.
MHH: What are you looking for in a future role?
Jennifer: I am seeking a future role that allows me to seamlessly merge my passion for creativity with my enthusiasm for strategy. My aim is to push my comfort zone by assuming the pivotal role of managing a campaign from its inception to its conclusion. I aspire to immerse myself in the heart of creative problem-solving, while also actively participating in the strategic discussions that precede it, thereby ensuring that campaigns align with the broader mission of an organization. The ideal companies for me are smaller marketing agencies and purpose-driven organizations, with a culture focused on collaboration and fun.
MHH: What's something you know now that you wish you knew earlier on in your career?
Jennifer: One thing I wish I knew earlier in my career is how to balance setting boundaries between work and life, and how to advocate effectively for my career growth.
MHH: Tell us briefly about your professional experience thus far!
Madison: I recently graduated with a Master of Music in opera and am passionate about digital and marketing strategy. I worked in marketing for three years and found myself in wanting to work in comms in my last year of grad school.
MHH: What are you looking for in a future role? Are there any dream companies you’d like to work for?
Madison: Intellectual stimulation; fast paced; bread & butter or Made You Feel would be dreams to work for!

Madison: That connecting with others is so important not just for job opportunities but morale.
MHH: Tell us briefly about your career thus far!
Janine: In the past 15 years, I've cultivated a deep understanding of and appreciation for communications strategy, project management, and leadership while journeying through diverse cities across the globe, the Philippine Senate, and my new home in Spain. (That's not even the half of it!) I believe I've found the fountain of youth in this relentless pursuit of learning, self-improvement, and commitment to making an impact.
MHH: In your most recent role, what was a valuable lesson you learned that you’ll take with you into your next role?
Janine: In my previous role, I created a lot of content on the science of work and one standout lesson is the pivotal role of trust and empathy in building successful teams. I'm excited about the prospect of playing a more active role in shaping company culture in my next role, whether it's through employer branding or leadership.
MHH: What are you looking for in a future role?
Janine: I'm genuinely drawn to opportunities with a strong social impact. Additionally, I'm exploring the possibility of further education in sustainability-related fields to potentially pursue climate work.
MHH: What's something you know now that you wish you knew earlier on in your career?

MHH: Tell us briefly about your career thus far!
Jefferson: I am a highly dedicated innovator that strives to push media and technological boundaries. I worked my way to Edelman and Allied Global Marketing. These two established organizations taught me a lot, but I was unable to unleash my true potential. I'm still on the search for a role that utilizes my immense creative ability and grants me freedom to change or transform the norm.
MHH: In your most recent role, what was a valuable lesson you learned that you’ll take with you into your next role?
Jefferson: One valuable lesson I will take from my previous role is that comparison is the thief of joy. I want to change things and create a path for myself, as opposed to comparing my work with others and their own standards.
MHH: What are you looking for in a future role? Are there any dream companies you’d like to work for?
Jefferson: I am looking for media and technology forward companies that allow creative minds to be heard. I want my work to make a positive impact on society. Some dream companies include: Tesla, Microsoft, Meta and Marvel.
MHH: What's something you know now that you wish you knew earlier on in your career?
Jefferson: Earlier in my career, I wish I took advantage of LinkedIn resources. I am now always learning and sharpening my skills for any future roles.

Over the years, I've honed my skills in public relations and marketing by leading successful integrated campaigns and excelling in brand management and creative direction. My strengths lie in community outreach and nurturing authentic relationships. Each role has been a chapter in my story, characterized by passion, growth, and a whole lot of heart.
MHH: In your most recent role, what was a valuable lesson you learned that you’ll take with you into your next role?
Ciara: An invaluable lesson I've learned is that authenticity, not ego, is the key to building a successful career and lasting connections. I’m committed to carrying this insight into my next role, emphasizing the importance of genuine, meaningful relationships over superficial displays.
MHH: What are you looking for in a future role? Are there any dream companies you’d like to work for?
Ciara: I'm on the lookout for a dynamic role that feels like more than just work – something that really aligns with my passions and values. Companies like E! News, Dear Media, Condé Naste, The Special Olympics, Pure Barre, MAC Cosmetics or Sephora would be a dream. But what I'm really after is a place where creativity and innovation are valued, and where we're making an impact in the world. That's the kind of work that truly excites me!
MHH: What's something you know now that you wish you knew earlier on in your career?
Ciara: The importance of being your own biggest advocate. No one else will make sure that you set clear boundaries or maintain a strong sense of self - it's about understanding your worth and learning how to confidently say, "This is who I am, and this is what I stand for."
MHH: Tell us briefly about your career thus far!
Holly: I'm a communication and content marketing professional with over 3 years of experience and a strong background in the development of captivating digital content that engages and converts audiences through cohesive branding and targeted messaging.
I have a keen eye for identifying industry trends and ecommerce insights to build and execute content that educates and nurtures audiences. I have expertise in marketing strategy and community management, with the ability to bring ideas to life in new and compelling ways. I am skilled at utilizing relevant metrics and data to guide decision-making and digital marketing strategy. I've worked in Real Estate, Furniture/Construction, and have owned my own business as a Social Media Manager and Podcast Manager.
MHH: In your most recent role, what was a valuable lesson you learned that you’ll take with you into your next role?
Holly: The most valuable lessons that I learned in my most recent role are that you are allowed to respectfully disagree with your boss, sometimes what they suggest isn’t always the best plan of action and won’t push the company forward, use your own professional judgement and insights to decide the best course of action for the company, but always respect what the final decision is no matter what. Also, make sure to document your wins and any kudos that co-workers give you.
MHH: What are you looking for in a future role?
Holly: In my future role, I would love to take on more responsibility and it is really important to me that there is room for me to grow within whatever company I land at. I’m looking for either a fully remote or hybrid Content Marketing Specialist/Content Strategist position in either the Tech, Mental Health Tech, Wellness, or FemTech industries. I would love if the company valued mental health and wellness as I am incredibly passionate about both. All in all, I am excited to bring my creativity and love for writing content that converts to a company that aligns with my values.
MHH: What's something you know now that you wish you knew earlier on in your career?
Holly: That burnout is a thing, make sure to prioritize self care! Take short breaks away from your screen throughout the workday to prevent burnout and eyestrain.
MHH: Tell us briefly about your career thus far!
Tristan: I’m a United States Marine Corps veteran and a seasoned professional with 15 years of diverse experience, including roles in public relations, content creation, and media coordination. I have an extensive background in crafting media lists, executing PR strategies, and securing media appearances. I am eager to leverage strong communication and analytical skills in a Communications Related role.
MHH: In your most recent role, what was a valuable lesson you learned that you’ll take with you into your next role?
Tristan: The most valuable lesson that I'll take into my next role is "Slow your pace & save your face" Reputation and perception are everything and everything doesn't require a fast response. Sometimes it is best to breathe, gather your thoughts and pace yourself and work accordingly.
MHH: What are you looking for in a future role?
Tristan: What I'm looking for in my next role is to actively participate with teams to accomplish goals and tasks enthusiastically, be paid according to the value and experience I bring, and utilize my creative ideas and thinking advantageously for clients and the organization I work for.
MHH: What's something you know now that you wish you knew earlier on in your career?
Tristan: I wish I knew the grit and determination I possessed when first starting out. I honestly thought it was just me being diligent, but rather it was a character trait several people told me they admired about me after working with me.
MHH: Tell us briefly about your career thus far!
Diana: I fell in love with books and pop culture at a young age, so I pursued a career in book publicity which combined my love of storytelling with media in an ever-changing media landscape. As a manager, I discovered my hidden talent for people management, which has made me want to pursue positions where teamwork and mentorship is a big part of the role.
MHH: In your most recent role, what was a valuable lesson you learned that you’ll take with you into your next role?
Diana: Managing expectations is one of the most important ways to gain the trust of a client. Telling them everything they want to hear, in PR, often sets everyone up for failure and/or disappointment. There is an art to managing expectations and still making your client feel incredibly special and valued. I found this to be vital both in client relationships as well as internal ones with my team.
MHH: What are you looking for in a future role? Are there any dream companies you’d like to work for?
Diana: I would love to explore any and all innovative communications opportunities whether it be internal or external, for brands, products, and services I believe in as a customer. Dream companies would be an entertainment network like Disney or iHeart, any company in the Broadway/theater space like Shubert or Jujamcyn (or a ticketing platform like TodayTix or TKTS), or a beauty corporation like L'Oreal or Estee Lauder.
MHH: What's something you know now that you wish you knew earlier on in your career?
Diana: I wish I knew that while we may be loyal to the companies we work for, it is sometimes not mutual, so take the PTO you are offered, limit the hours you spend working overtime without compensation (jumping in on an off-hours emergency is being responsible, but staying late to prove how hard you work isn't serving you), and be committed to work/life balance. It makes you a better employee all around when you're engaged, well-rested, and not resentful.
MHH: Tell us briefly about your career thus far!
Ashlynn: Throughout my career, I have leveraged data-driven approaches to inform decision-making, cultivate strong relationships with influencers and brands, and drive growth and profitability for businesses.
MHH: In your most recent role, what was a valuable lesson you learned that you’ll take with you into your next role?
Ashlynn: Managing relationships with influencers, but also anyone you interact with is a crucial part of success and growth and I strongly believe in building personal connections with each influencer to ensure that they feel valued and invested in the brand's messaging.
MHH: What are you looking for in a future role? Are there any dream companies you’d like to work for?
Ashlynn: In my future role, I am seeking a higher level of responsibility and the opportunity to continue my growth within the influencer marketing space. I am eager to advance into a managerial position where I can take on more significant responsibilities, particularly in the areas of strategy and creativity.
I believe that my experience and expertise in influencer marketing have prepared me for a leadership role where I can shape and execute innovative strategies that drive results for both clients and the company. I am enthusiastic about the prospect of guiding and mentoring team members, collaborating on comprehensive influencer campaigns, and contributing to the overall success of the organization.
While I don't have specific dream companies in mind, I am primarily looking for an organization that values innovation, fosters a collaborative work environment, and is at the forefront of influencer marketing trends. I am attracted to companies that encourage professional development and provide opportunities for individuals to make a meaningful impact on the industry. Ultimately, I am eager to bring my expertise and passion for influencer marketing to a company that aligns with these values and offers room for career advancement.
MHH: What's something you know now that you wish you knew earlier on in your career?
Ashlynn: Early in my career, I wish I had recognized that technical skills alone are not enough to thrive in the professional world. Effective communication and relationship-building skills are equally vital, if not more so, and should be continuously developed and honed throughout one's career journey.
MHH: Tell us briefly about your career thus far!
Matt: At 18 I moved to Tampa solo to attend The University of Tampa and I ended up graduating with my B.S. in Marketing and moving directly into a sales consulting role in the tech industry! Wanting to expand on my experiences in marketing and following my passion and love for social media, I started working for a start-up social media marketing and content creation agency that worked closely with both local brick-and-mortars and e-commerce brands! Taking what I've learned from my experiences working in the tech and social media industries, I'm eager, hungry, and driven to take that onto the next and beyond!
MHH: In your most recent role, what was a valuable lesson you learned that you’ll take with you into your next role?
Matt: The domino effect - every move one makes plays an effect on other departments whether you know it or not. Learning from the perspective of a start-up, this was a common thing that was easily seen being on a smaller-sized team.
MHH: What are you looking for in a future role? Are there any dream companies you’d like to work for?
Matt: I would just love any opportunity to work for a CPG brand that I align with - I'm a big fan of OLIPOP and brands similar. I've always dreamt and imagined myself doing marketing for a specific brand, I've tried the agency route and it wasn't necessarily for me, so it's about time I turn this dream into a reality.
MHH: What's something you know now that you wish you knew earlier on in your career?
Matt: That not everything is as easy as it seems. It's so easy to sit back and look at a marketing effort from a brand's marketing team and say "I can easily do that", but you never really realize how much work goes into things like that. Working for a social media marketing agency, there is so much that goes into a brand's content shoot that you wouldn't even imagine. It all requires more patience, more adaptability, and being more open to people's thoughts and opinions than you think.
MHH: Tell us briefly about your career thus far!
Hilary: I am a creative content and brand marketing expert specializing in social media strategy, CRM (email and SMS), SEO, brand campaigns, influencer and creator marketing, creative production, and data analysis. I help businesses grow their brands and reach and acquire new audiences. I am passionate about understanding the latest trends in the digital marketing landscape and using them to drive results. I successfully manage and build teams and I routinely consult and work with senior leadership executives to build and grow marketing programs.
MHH: In your most recent role, what was a valuable lesson you learned that you’ll take with you into your next role?
Hilary: To be a successful leader, you have to trust your team and delegate to the experts you hired.
MHH: What are you looking for in a future role? Are there any dream companies you’d like to work for?
Hilary: In my next role, I want to continue developing my people management and leadership experience. I want to be a mentor to young marketers, creative writers, and social gurus. As a former Division I athlete and outdoor enthusiast, my dream companies would reside in athletic apparel, fitness tech, outdoor gear, and sports.
MHH: What's something you know now that you wish you knew earlier on in your career?
Hilary: The value in building and maintaining a powerful network. Connections and relationships are so important. I nurture and keep up with my network now, but wish I had started building those relationships and reaching out to mentors at an earlier age.
MHH: Tell us briefly about your career thus far!
Sonika: I graduated with 2 degrees - Bachelor of Arts in Art History & PR and a Master of Arts in Communication & Digital Media - while simultaneously starting my career as a Marketing Manager at a media company, Hello & Hola!. Unfortunately due to Covid layoffs, I had to pivot and make a career change, so I focused on B2B marketing and accepted a role at JP Morgan Asset Management. After 2 years there I decided I was really missing connecting with an audience & being more hands on, so I took up a role as Marketing Director at a startup fashion company, The Regal Bride.
MHH: In your most recent role, what was a valuable lesson you learned that you’ll take with you into your next role?
Sonika: Media & advertising techniques will continue to advance but at the end of the day human connection & authenticity is what sells & draws in consumers.
MHH: What are you looking for in a future role? Are there any dream companies you’d like to work for?
Sonika: I'm really looking for the opportunity to be creative, connect with consumers, and lead strategy. Dream companies? Probably something in Media/Publishing, like Publicis Groupe, LVMH, Conde Nast, WPP or Google.
MHH: What's something you know now that you wish you knew earlier on in your career?
Sonika: Marketers & communication professionals unfortunately do not grow salaries at the same rate as other professionals in other fields in the same age range might. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't fight for equity and fair pay in your job.
MHH: Tell us briefly about your career thus far!
Genesis: Professionally, I am highly motivated and creative with a passion and eagerness for strengthening brands. I have done marketing for different sectors the past five years including, but not limited to: real estate, non-profits, public speakers, and a retired 2X Olympic Gold Medalist.
MHH: In your most recent role, what was a valuable lesson you learned that you’ll take with you into your next role?
Genesis: The most valuable lesson I learned in my most recent role when I had complete creative freedom was to listen to my gut to make the best decisions I could. In my next role I will ensure I take that lesson and use my intuition more to guide me on the right path, to ensure I am taking the company in the right direction.
MHH: What are you looking for in a future role? Are there any dream companies you’d like to work for?
Genesis: I am looking to secure a position in a growth oriented company that values diversity. I would love to work in a fast paced environment that offers a team-focused culture. My top three dream companies I would love to work for include: Nike, Netflix, and LinkedIn.
MHH: What's something you know now that you wish you knew earlier on in your career?
Genesis: I wish I knew earlier on in my career the importance of networking, as "networking is the number one unwritten rule of success." Throughout my career I have learned the value of connecting with like-minded individuals. Today networking is something I prioritise when it comes to creating long-term sustainable relationships with others.
MHH: Tell us briefly about your career thus far!
Shae: As a former educator turned marketing professional, I offer a unique blend of expertise. Leveraging a decade-long teaching career, I've seamlessly transitioned into the dynamic world of partnerships, community, and influencer marketing. It didn't take long for me to realize that my relationship-building, organizational, and communication skills can be used to drive really impactful results working with content creators.
I'm passionate about creating meaningful connections and nurturing robust, long-term relationships, and I thrive in fast-paced, creative environments that value communication, collaboration, and continuous learning.
MHH: In your most recent role, what was a valuable lesson you learned that you’ll take with you into your next role?
Shae: Plan and prepare as we might, initiatives don't always provide the outcome we expect; the ability to not hold onto anything too tightly, and to meet obstacles and change with flexibility, is key to maintaining momentum and, therefore, continuing on a positive, results-driven trajectory.
MHH: What are you looking for in a future role? Are there any dream companies you’d like to work for?
Shae: After leaving teaching and joining the business world (in 2019 — just before the big WFH boom), I discovered how productive and efficient I am working from home on my own schedule. While I love the connections that are made when team camaraderie is emphasized (and I'm always active in planning team off-sites and get-togethers), I hope for flexibility, autonomy, and trust from my future employers when I am working remotely.
MHH: What's something you know now that you wish you knew earlier on in your career?
Shae: It's never too late to learn something new, and soft skills are just as important, if not more-so in some instances, than hard skills.
MHH: Tell us briefly about your career thus far!
Natalia: So far, I have worked in real estate marketing for almost 4 years now in the social media and content creation space. I recently graduated from the University of South Florida with my B.S in Marketing.
MHH: In your most recent role, what was a valuable lesson you learned that you’ll take with you into your next role?
Natalia: Failure is feedback. Failure is not something to kick yourself down for but instead an extremely valuable teachable moment.
MHH: What are you looking for in a future role? Are there any dream companies you’d like to work for?
Natalia: I am looking for a role that connects with my values. A company that values work-life balance and understands the importance of growth.
My dream company has always been Pinterest or Spotify!
MHH: What's something you know now that you wish you knew earlier on in your career?
Natalia: To never be afraid of change or "instability". In that gray area of uncertainty is where true growth and some of the best opportunities are held, so embrace it.
MHH: Tell us briefly about your career thus far!
Lauren: I am a former educator of nearly five years with a passion for literacy, equity, diversity, curriculum design, and training. I am a hard worker with a diverse range of experience and I would love to continue to impact others in a learning capacity.
MHH: In your most recent role, what was a valuable lesson you learned that you’ll take with you into your next role?
Lauren: I learned that it is important to have a growth mindset and continue to learn, no matter how experienced you are in your field. There is always something new to learn!
MHH: What are you looking for in a future role? Are there any dream companies you’d like to work for?
Lauren: Ideally, I would love to work in educational technology so I can still impact students. I would love to work for Renaissance Learning, Turnitin.com, NoRedInk, or any other medium-to-large edtech company.
MHH: What's something you know now that you wish you knew earlier on in your career?
Lauren: I wish I knew earlier on that I was capable of taking on bigger challenges and that I have skills that are needed in the workforce! I have so much more confidence now that I've honed in on my best skills and traits.
MHH: Tell us briefly about your career thus far!
Benjamin: I've found a home in the Creator Economy, working as a creative strategist for Influencers and Creators, the businesses they've started, and the platforms made for them. Mainly working for startups or individuals, I haven't had a traditional marketing path, instead creating specific marketing packages to meet client need, whether that's full-cycle Influencer Partnership Management for brands, Gen-Z rewrites of copy or content audits to meet intended audiences, or Personalized High-Funnel Content Strategy, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
MHH: In your most recent role, what was a valuable lesson you learned that you’ll take with you into your next role?
Benjamin: Automation tools can only get you so far. There are so many great things that can be automated to save time these days, but real value gets derived from establishing and cultivating personal relationships, and though AI & automation is trying, that intimacy is hard to recreate.
MHH: What are you looking for in a future role? Are there any dream companies you’d like to work for?
Benjamin: I've loved carving a path for myself, but I'm looking for mentorship and collaboration in a future role. It's really exciting to be scrappy and pull something together with a small team or by myself, but sitting with my own perspective for too long isn't helping me advance in the ways I'd like to and I want that experience. I'd love to work for companies who play at the intersections of e-commerce, the creator economy, and entertainment like Jellysmack, Rokt, YouTube, Shopify, or Notion.
MHH: What's something you know now that you wish you knew earlier on in your career?
Benjamin: I wish I had more seriously approached my pitch earlier on. You have to take yourself and the work you do seriously in order for anybody else to, and that means defining your pitch and being able to clearly articulate what you offer. I think I was too long a generalist.
MHH: Tell us briefly about your career thus far!
Linzi: I’m a Houston native and recent graduate of Sam Houston State University with a BBA in Marketing. I am deeply passionate about marketing and am keen to apply my academic foundation, coupled with my past hands on experience, to drive impactful results within a dynamic marketing team.
MHH: In your most recent role, what was a valuable lesson you learned that you’ll take with you into your next role?
Linzi: I discovered that being able to adapt and embrace new strategies or technologies was incredibly important in my recent role as a marketing coordinator. I plan to keep this lesson in mind as I move forward into my next role, ensuring that I stay on top of the constantly changing marketing scene.
MHH: What are you looking for in a future role? Are there any dream companies you’d like to work for?
Linzi: In my next role, I'm excited to bring my creative flair to the world of marketing. I'm drawn to companies like the Rockets, given my love for sports and my Houston roots, and LVMH because of my fascination with fashion.
MHH: What's something you know now that you wish you knew earlier on in your career?
Linzi: I wish I understood the significance of storytelling at the beginning of my marketing career.
MHH: Tell us briefly about your career thus far!
Vaidehi: I fell in love with marketing during my internship at Ogilvy & Mather and was introduced to the world of product during my tenure at Kapiva. I loved everything about product marketing - the extensive consumer research, watching a product go from an idea to watching customers rave about it, crafting positioning & messaging and truly creating value for our customers.
MHH: In your most recent role, what was a valuable lesson you learned that you’ll take with you into your next role?
Vaidehi: To embrace a challenge - I was originally hired to be on the marketing team at Kapiva but 2 weeks before I started I was put on the product team. Having never worked on the product side, I was overwhelmed and nervous but in hindsight being introduced to product is the best thing that happened to me.
MHH: What are you looking for in a future role? Are there any dream companies you’d like to work for?
Vaidehi: I am looking to leverage my creative side - to tell powerful stories, craft positioning and messaging while using my analytical side - to dive into consumer research, identify market trends and determine product-market fit. My job preference would be to be in product marketing / brand management / brand strategy. My dream company is L'Oreal.
MHH: What's something you know now that you wish you knew earlier on in your career?
Vaidehi: To believe in myself better and that belief will help me succeed. As Mindy Kaling put it: “You have to have insane confidence in yourself, even if it’s not real. You need to be your own cheerleader now, because there isn’t a room full of people waiting with pompoms to tell you, ‘You did it! We’ve been waiting all this time for you to succeed!'”
MHH: Tell us briefly about your career thus far!

Bethany: I am currently working as the marketing and events coordinator for a doggy daycare facility in San Diego. While the role is a ton of fun, I am passionate about starting a career in the fashion and beauty industry.
MHH: In your most recent role, what was a valuable lesson you learned that you’ll take with you into your next role?
Bethany: In my previous role, I learned that impressions are everything. If you truly believe in your product, service or company, that enthusiasm translates to your clients and better represents your business.
MHH: What are you looking for in a future role? Are there any dream companies you’d like to work for?
Bethany: I would love to some day work as a publicist for a major fashion or beauty company. A brand I truly love and recommend is Glossier, and this would be a dream company to work for! On the other hand, I do also love planning a good party. Another career goal of mine is to work as an events coordinator for a luxury resort or venue.
MHH: What's something you know now that you wish you knew earlier on in your career?
Bethany: I wish someone had told me that no matter how good someone seems at their job, no one started off as a pro. Every successful person (in every field) had to start somewhere, and learn the ropes just as I do.
MHH: Tell us briefly about your career thus far!

Marissa: In my next role, I'm looking for a dynamic and collaborative team environment that encourages creativity and innovation in social media strategy. I'm particularly interested in companies that value authentic communication and community engagement. While I don't have specific dream companies in mind, I'm drawn to organizations that align with my values and offer opportunities to make a meaningful impact through social media.
MHH: What's something you know now that you wish you knew earlier on in your career?
Marissa: Early on, I focused more on creative content without fully realizing the power of analytics. Now, I understand that tracking and analyzing data can guide strategy, helping to optimize content, target the right audience, and achieve more meaningful results. It's a game-changer that I wish I had embraced from the start.

Tinsley: I am an outgoing, resilient, and solution-oriented marketer with over 6 years experience in the sports sponsorship landscape and 2 years experience in the branding landscape. I have managed various internal and external teams to create numerous marketing campaigns with clients like Rakuten, United Airlines, and Silicon Valley Bank.
MHH: In your most recent role, what was a valuable lesson you learned that you’ll take with you into your next role?
Tinsley: I learned the ability to quickly adapt. Soon after I started my most recent role, I was given the opportunity to take on Director level responsibility, which allowed me to grow significantly in my account management and leadership skills.
MHH: What are you looking for in a future role? Are there any dream companies you’d like to work for?
Tinsley: In my future role, I would like to combine my experience in branding with my work in sports sponsorships at a major corporation or agency. Some dream companies I would like to work for include JP Morgan Chase, Delta Airlines, Lego, Sony, and Toyota.
MHH: What's something you know now that you wish you knew earlier on in your career?
Tinsley: Your path may not be linear, but you are still making progress towards your end goal.

Keli: I’m a 28 year old in the creator space and have a huge passion for selfcare, wellbeing, and healthy lifestyle. I started my first social media accounts (Instagram and Twitter) in 2011- almost 13 years ago. After being on the internet since practically the beginning, I've come to understand it a bit more. And how trends come and go, how new tech emerges, how society utilizes it, and how culture comes about from it. So, I love getting to be a part of it as a user and creator. In undergrad, I studied behavior health psychology and am currently passionate about learning and helping bridge the gap between mental health and social media usage.
MHH: In your most recent role, what was a valuable lesson you learned that you’ll take with you into your next role?
Keli: Being a good communicator. If you're nice- especially in email, you are far more likely to get the response you're looking for.
MHH: What are you looking for in a future role? Are there any dream companies you’d like to work for?
Keli: Maybe to collaborate with a bigger team. As a creator, it can get lonely working by yourself and wearing multiple hats. Your environment is everything, so collaborating with like minded individuals would be a dream. I also don’t have a “dream company” to work for in mind. If you are a startup with amazing company culture, I’d probably take that over a big name company that has multiple layoffs year round. Basically wherever I feel the most valued at.
MHH: What's something you know now that you wish you knew earlier on in your career?
Keli: Post your content! Whether you're a brand or creator, don’t wait until the perfect moment or “if it matches your feed” because something else will happen that's postable and you don't want to regret not posting.

Tai: I've had an interesting career so far, working in radio and television early on before transitioning into social media and marketing. Most recently I have been doing copywriting work in a freelance capacity for the hospitality industry as well as creating content on TikTok for Generation X and 80s fans.
MHH: In your most recent role, what was a valuable lesson you learned that you’ll take with you into your next role?
Tai: Always be upgrading your skills and never stop looking for work. It's not a sign that you don't like your current job, but I have been laid off a few times and it caught me totally by surprise because I had stopped looking for other work. I had to start all over in my job search and that was rough. Keep up the networking, looking at current open roles to see what skills are in demand and also practice your interviewing skills by accepting interviews.
MHH: What are you looking for in a future role? Are there any dream companies you’d like to work for?
Tai: A role that uses my skills in copywriting, marketing and social media, but in a strategic fashion. I love coming up with a plan and then executing on it and seeing the results, adjusting based on analytics, and moving forward.
I love entertainment so I would be in heaven if I could work for Disney, Netflix, Marvel or any of the major studios doing this kind of work.
MHH: What's something you know now that you wish you knew earlier on in your career?
Tai: Take more chances. You don't grow if you only do things you know. I think it was Richard Branson who said "say yes to an opportunity and then figure out how to do it later." I wish I had taken on more things early on that I didn't fully know how to do because you will never be happy in a job that you know backwards and forwards if you're not learning and growing.

Colleen: I am a life-long fashion lover with six years of experience in the luxury retail and ecommerce space. I am passionate about creating engaging and personalized online experiences for customers, using data-driven insights and best practices.
MHH: In your most recent role, what was a valuable lesson you learned that you’ll take with you into your next role?
Colleen: As a fully remote employee that lived across the country from most of my colleagues, I learned to always make a place for myself on the team and ask for more workload and opportunities. While I used to feel like it was a bother, I have found that reaching out to my network has opened so many opportunities for me in my career.
MHH: Tell us briefly about your career thus far!
Alexis: I started out on the Influencer Marketing side at an agency, where I was working with 10-12 brands at a time, across various verticals: beauty, wellness, food/bev, fashion, & consumer goods. After that role, I left to explore the Talent Management side, where I was managing 20-25 campaigns at a time, working with 5 influencers across various verticals: fashion, beauty, lifestyle, cooking, DIY, and working with renown brands such as Google, CVS, Dove, Adidas, and more!
MHH: In your most recent role, what was a valuable lesson you learned that you’ll take with you into your next role?
Alexis: The most valuable lesson I learned in my previous role is the importance of authenticity in relationship building with influencers. Realizing this led me to change certain internal processes the agency had in place, and this ultimately increased influencer post rates in gifting campaigns and led to long-term organic relationships.
MHH: What are you looking for in a future role? Are there any dream companies you’d like to work for?
Alexis: I am looking for an in-house influencer marketing role at a brand I'm passionate about, with an environment that fosters creativity, positivity, and collaboration where I can wear many hats. Since I'm a wellness & clean beauty fanatic, I am especially excited about any brands in that space. Some dream company examples include Ilia, Tower 28, Saie, Westman Atelier, Honest Company, Jolie, Athletic Greens, Olipop, Ghia, Kin, Ritual, Lemme, Summer Fridays, Necessaire, & Briogeo.
MHH: What's something you know now that you wish you knew earlier on in your career?
Alexis: I wish I was clear on the type of brand/agency I wanted to work at earlier on! After graduating college, it's common to accept the first job offer you get. I urge others to think deeply about if they're truly aligned with the role, as well as explore other options.
Networking is so important! As a natural introvert, this was a hard realization. Connecting with other professionals via virtual calls, in-person events, & social media is so helpful when it comes to learning, growing & new opportunities in your career.

Swarna: I recently graduated from Indiana University with a bachelors degree in journalism. I've held editorial internships at Town & Country, Editorialist.com, and Indianapolis Monthly and have absolutely loved every second of those experiences. While I am looking to continue my career in journalism, I've also thoroughly enjoyed my PR internships and would love to pursue a career in PR if that's where my path takes me.
MHH: In your most recent role, what was a valuable lesson you learned that you’ll take with you into your next role?
Swarna: There are many moving parts to in-house public relations that require an individual to be proactive, remain calm under stress, and effectively anticipate needs. I strengthened all these qualities during my time at Giuseppe Zanotti and will bring these attributes with me to my next role.
MHH: What are you looking for in a future role? Are there any dream companies you’d like to work for?
Swarna: I'm looking for a role that will allow me to tell stories — whether that be for an individual, a publication, or a brand. Growing up, my dream was to work for an influential women's lifestyle magazine like Elle, Glamour, or Harper's Bazaar. However, if I were to go the PR route, I'd like to work for a women-led firm that handles PR for emerging fashion brands.
MHH: What's something you know now that you wish you knew earlier on in your career?

MHH: What are you looking for in a future role? Are there any dream companies you’d like to work for?
Mery: When I was younger, I had dream companies, but now I want to work with dream people. Not all the dream companies are what they seem internally. The people I work with are far more important than the brand.
