MHH: Tell us briefly about your career thus far!

Ryann: I like to say that I'm a professional fangirl living at the intersection of communication and art. I'm passionate about helping others achieve their creative dreams and advocating for breaking the traditional mold in the professional world.

MHH: In your most recent role, what was a valuable lesson you learned that you’ll take with you into your next role?

MHH: What are you looking for in a future role?

Ryann: I'm looking for a role that I can not only have opportunity to mold and grow with but also have the opportunity to collaborate with equally passionate individuals. No specific companies but extremely interested in working in the realm of sports, music/live events, or entertainment.

MHH: What's something you know now that you wish you knew earlier on in your career?

Ryann: Don't be afraid to be the "new kid on the block" in a work environment. More often than not, those that come in with a fresh pair of eyes can often see the problems quicker and more clearly than those who have more "experience".

Kelli Cayman Rascoe (prev. Senior Writer and Creative Strategist at Outschool, Trupanion, SparkPlug)

MHH: Tell us briefly about your professional experience thus far!

Kelli: I'm a professional entertainer turned digital storyteller who uses data-driven insights to develop creative solutions for mission-driven businesses.

MHH: In your most recent role, what was a valuable lesson you learned that you’ll take with you into your next role?

Kelli: Communication and transparency are incredibly important. Be clear about what you want in a role , the kind of work you want to do, and set up clear boundaries from the get go. This conversation starts in the interview process. It's a two-way street, you're interviewing an organization just as much as they are interviewing you.

MHH: What are you looking for in a future role? Are there any dream companies you’d like to work for?

Kelli: I'm a senior writer who loves using creative content strategy to tell impactful stories. A dream company would be mission-driven doing amazing things in the world.

MHH: What's something you know now that you wish you knew earlier?

Kelli: Ask questions. Its amazing what you'll discover in asking questions in how you can use your skills and experience to help make an impact on team or company goals.

MHH: In your most recent role, what was a valuable lesson you learned that you’ll take with you into your next role?

Paloma: In my most recent startup role, I learned the importance of resourcefulness and creativity when working with limited resources. MHH: What are you looking for in a future role?

Paloma: I am passionate about using my skills to make a positive impact on the world, and I believe that a creative leadership role in a health, fitness, or sustainability focused company would be the perfect fit for me. Mandi Sit (prev. Sales Development Representative at Lattice)

MHH: Tell us briefly about your career thus far!

Mandi: I have jumped around in different industries, including the non-profit, startup, and most recently, the tech world, honing my skills in marketing, community building, events, and partnerships. It's been amazing to have these different kinds of experiences, from working with small teams and being so hands on with projects from start to finish to working for larger companies and learning from their already established processes. What's been the glue of my career is working for companies whose mission I am super passionate about!

MHH: In your most recent role, what was a valuable lesson you learned that you’ll take with you into your next role?

Mandi: The value of feedback. No matter someone's role or seniority at the company, there is always something to be learned and ways we can grow as humans and professionals.

MHH: What are you looking for in a future role? Are there any dream companies you’d like to work for?

Mandi: I'm looking for a marketing role that allows me to hone my creativity and work in a collaborative team environment. My dream company would be one that fosters employee growth and mentorship, prioritizes diversity and inclusion, and values work-life balance for its employees.

MHH: What's something you know now that you wish you knew earlier on in your career?

Mandi: You don't know what you don't know. Making mistakes in our professional career is inevitable (we're human!), and the way your manager acts can be a reflection of their leadership style and the company. Use mistakes as learning opportunities for both you and your manager and prioritize space and time to reflect on how to avoid them in the future.

MHH: In your most recent role, what was a valuable lesson you learned that you’ll take with you into your next role?

MHH: What are you looking for in a future role? Are there any dream companies you’d like to work for?

Caroline: I'm looking for a company that values culture and aligns with my values of being service-oriented. I want to be able to combine my creativity skills with a data-driven approach to build best-in-class marketing solutions.

View Nancy’s Professional Portfolio

MHH: Tell us briefly about your career thus far!

Nancy: I'm a content marketing leader with 10 years of experience working with B2B, B2C, and B2B2C human resources and healthcare brands. I love creating impactful content based on thoughtful conversations with real people.

MHH: In your most recent role, what was a valuable lesson you learned that you’ll take with you into your next role?

Nancy: In my most recent role, I thought a lot about the advantage people have over AI when creating content. Customer interviews, owned research, and multimedia content like podcasts and videos are all powerful ways to share original stories that truly connect with your audience — and are currently pretty impossible for AI to pull off.

MHH: What are you looking for in a future role?

Nancy: In my next role, I'd love to continue using my interviewing and research skills to bring content to life. Content has changed over the years, but people still need to get their questions answered, be entertained, and feel heard and seen by what they read, watch, and listen to.

MHH: What's something you know now that you wish you knew earlier on in your career?

Nancy: Something I would tell my younger self is to "market your marketing." It benefits your entire team and your role when leaders outside of marketing understand the impact your work is having on the business. Treat it like any other project and consider your audience, the best results to highlight, and how to share your story so it reaches the right people.

MHH: In your most recent role, what was a valuable lesson you learned that you’ll take with you into your next role?

Anny: The database is not a magic wand, and we must always understand our users and market in depth.

MHH: What are you looking for in a future role?

Anny: Influencer marketing or Social Media Marketing!

MHH: What's something you know now that you wish you knew earlier on in your career?

Anny: Start freelance as early as you can! If you have the ability, start your business after that.

Anika Chhabra (prev. Marketing + Communications Coordinator at Poured App)

Open to Opportunities in NYC or Miami, FL

View Anika’s Professional Portfolio

MHH: Tell us briefly about your career thus far!

Anika: I recently graduated, Magna Cum Laude from FAU with a degree in Marketing, and two certifications in digital marketing and environmental science. My goal was to always combine both my passion for fashion and the environment into one dream job trying to create a more sustainable lifestyle within the fashion industry.

MHH: In your most recent role, what was a valuable lesson you learned that you’ll take with you into your next role?

Anika: Since I work at a tech start-up which is very different than an already established company, I have learned much about trial and error, redirecting ideas quickly, and how to properly manage my tasks, ideas, and time all on my own. Since it is a small team of us most of the work and ideas for marketing, advertising, and email marketing fall into me, which can be great as I get more creative freedom but a little bit tricky as a new grad who could still use some guidance.

MHH: Are there any dream companies you’d like to work for?

Anika: I would love to work for Condé Nast or anything under the LVMH umbrella.

MHH: What's something you know now that you wish you knew earlier on in your career?

Anika: To slow down! Through college I was always working on the next step of my career and taking on multiple jobs/internships at a time, which is great to do, but I also wish I enjoyed being an actual college student a bit more rather than trying to rush into my career/ next step. Everything will come on it’s own time, so just be patient.

MHH: In your most recent role, what was a valuable lesson you learned that you’ll take with you into your next role?

MHH: What's something you know now that you wish you knew earlier on in your career?

Ryan: Good things take time. A mistake that I made in the past was creating timelines and expectations for myself that weren't necessarily obtainable in the moment. With experience and patience, you'll find exactly what you need at the right time!
